On November 14th, CHAH had its first-ever spelling bee, proving that learning can be fun and exciting! A huge shoutout to Ms. Reilly, Mr. Ng, Ms. Murphy, and all the amazing teachers who made our first annual spelling bee a smashing success! Parents joined in to cheer on the kids, creating an unforgettable experience. Congratulations to Andy Chen and Malcolm Still, who will proudly represent us in the District 6 round! 🎉📝 #SpellingBeeChampions

Come one, come all, any prospective parents interested in touring CHAH please come to one of our October Open Houses. Tours will be held from 9am-11am and 5pm-7pm.
CHAH held the first student-led event on 5/21/24 to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month in May. The students facilitated activities that promoted positive mental health. There were various stations such as slime making, vision board creation, dancing, and aromatherapy. The event was a huge success!
The CHAH 8th-grade team recently stepped into history with an exciting day trip to the Morris-Jumel Mansion, just a short walk from their school. As the oldest house in Manhattan, the mansion served as a fascinating gateway to the Revolutionary era. Students explored the very rooms where notable figures like George Washington, Aaron Burr, Anne Northup, and Eliza Jumel once walked—and now CHAH 8th graders can be added to that list!
The mansion, which dates back to 1765, provided students with an up-close look at the history that has shaped the nation. Adding to the excitement, it's the very same mansion that inspired Lin-Manuel Miranda while he wrote the musical "Hamilton." The day was filled with lessons and inspiration as students connected with the past in a truly unique setting!
